Background:
Anthem needed a strong sales tool to help introduce a new type of health benefits product to their customers. Anthem’s sales force and their customers are familiar with HMOs and PPOs, but not PCAs.
The Program:
A CD-ROM and Web site were developed to train Anthem' sales force and then be used by the sales force in their meetings with clients. The CD-ROM and site use graphs and animations to illustrate how the PCA product works and how it compares with traditional PPO health benefits plans. A savings calculator shows how much money could be saved by switching to a PCA plan.
The CD-ROM and site have been instrumental in selling the product to a number of Anthem’s customers and continue to be revised with new product features.
